Jim L. Wisenberger

August 18, 1930 - March 24, 2018

Jim Wisenberger, 87, passed away on March 24, 2018 at his residence in Ironton, Ohio with his family at his bedside. He was born August 18th in Ironton, son of the late Oscar Wisenberger and Garnet Miller Wisenberger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Cottrell, Louis Wisenberger and Norma Adams. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sally Davis Wisenberger. He is also survived by three sons, Jimmie Wisenberger of Grayson, KY, Gary (Mary) Wisenberger and Shawn Wisenberger both of Ironton, OH; two daughters, Debbie McKenzie Wisenberger of Ironton, OH and Kim (Joe) Monnig of Pedro, OH; 10 grandchildren, Leah and Frank Riedel, Joseph Monnig, Teresa (Justin) Brown, Missy Stone, Bobbi Jones, Crystal Simpkins, Stephanie King, Harley Day, Shane and Kyle Wisenberger; 11 great grandchildren, Anthony Riedel, Monica, Hannah and Megan Stone, Anatasha and Dominic Coffman, Emily Jones, Ethan and Kiara Simpkins, Micha and Nathan King and sisters, Carol Bayes of Louisville, KY, Sandra (Lester) Krum Of South Point, OH. Jim was a graduate of Ironton High School, Class of 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as a mechanic for Ken Jenkins Garage and then became self-employed. Friends may call from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH. Funeral services will be 12 pm Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Randy Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, OH.
