Mary Lee Holbrook Tennant

Mary Lee Holbrook Tennant, 76, of South Point, OH passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. She was born December 10, 1941 in Boyd County, KY, daughter of the late James and Nellie Fowler Smith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Stahl; five brothers and three sisters. Mary was a member of Coal Grove Church of Nazarene. She was a Foster Grandparent for Community Action in Lawrence County as well as a Foster Parent for Scioto County. She also volunteered for Michael’s Grace Place for several years. Survivors include her three children, Donald (Andrea) Holbrook, Jr., Nellie (Joseph) Adkins and Jonathan Blevins; a son-in-law, David Stahl; three sisters, Patricia (Mike) Shortridge, Carol (Jess) Cyrus and Sharon Turnbull; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Holbrook, Chanda (Todd) Jenkins, Corey (Brittany) Adkins, Annie (Ryan) Stahl, Owen Stahl, Brycen Holbrook, Olivia Holbrook, Jayden Blevins, Nadalee Blevins, Ramona Blevins and Waylon Blevins and seven great grandchildren, Landen, Holden, Brigham, Xavier, Dezmond, Braxton and Tobias. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH with Pastor Paul Michael Booth officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, KY. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.
