    Mother Eva Eloise Carter, 83, of South Point, OH, made her transition from this earthly life to her eternal life on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV. She was born on September 20, 1935 and was a native of Logan W.V. She was one of ten children born to the late Giles and Mary Henderson. Mother Carter was a graduate of South Point High School. After raising her family and many years of employment she retired. She leaves to cherish her precious memory three children; Wayne (Lynne) Moore, Mooresville, NC, Teresa Moore and Debra (Danny) Conwell, both of South Point, OH; eleven grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was saved at the young age of thirteen and served the Lord faithfully until her transition without ever looking back. Mother Carter was a very active member in the Lord’s Church and served in many positions. She was an ordained Elder and served as a Mother in and out of the Church. She was affectionately known as “Mother Love” because she shared the love of God with everyone she met with a smile, a kind word, a kiss and a hug. Funeral Services will be 12 PM Saturday, January 5, 2018 at New Jerusalem Christian Center, 817 South 8th Street Ironton, OH 45638 with Bishop Kenneth Lisath officiating. Burial will follow at Burlington 37 Cemetery, Burlington, OH. Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, OH is assisting the family with arrangements.
